Designed to serve you for many years, the Journey Linen coat/dress speaks of vintage romance. A connection with times past and a reminder to approach life slowly and gently.

The Journey linen coat has a classic box pleated skirt, a slightly above the waist bodice line, gathered shoulder with long sleeves finished with a ruffle, two generous in-seam pockets and a long flowing silhouette. The button up front gives you the versatility to decide how you'd like 'Journey' to serve you, on any given day or season.

What began as a celebration design, for the first anniversary of the Handmade Closet, the Journey linen coat/dress is now set to fulfill a long held dream of mine to create a vintage inspired coat that could also serve as a dress.

Seen here in the colour ginger, in all purpose 100% linen, this coat is sure to see you through all of the cooler seasons, and would make a great travel wardrobe addition. Guanteed to age gracefully with you, as you wear it year after year. I imagine mine to one day speak of the stories of its adventures, embellished with mended patches, or embroidered details.

All Journey Linen Coat dresses are made individiually to order in Dayboro Queensland Australia, by me. Please send your sizing details with your order as requested for the best possible fit. You'll find the inside is as beautiful as the outside.

After your order is received it is allocated to the next available production space at The Stitchery. Production times vary. It will be worth the wait! You will be notified as the order starts being made, so you can let the anticipation build. Soon after that notification, and once the sewing is completed, you will receive a shipping or pick up notification.

Please allow approximately 6-8 weeks for this process to take place.

Shipping is by Australia Post.

International Shipping is available. The Handmade Closet is not responsible for any taxes or imports into your resident country.
